Position Objective:
This critical team member is responsible for managing and administering Broward College's SharePoint environments. This position provides the Application Services division with key technical capabilities including setup, upgrade and configuration of multiple SharePoint farms, setup, configuration of various SharePoint service applications, and proactive techniques to stabilize and optimize the environment. Additionally, this position will provide n-tier support for issues that should arise in the SharePoint environment, manage backups, security, updates and assist developers with solution deployment. Minimum Education:
Associate's Degree in related field required. Bachelor degree preferred.

Minimum Experience/Training:
Typically four to six years of relevant experience. At least one year experience in administering a multi-server Sharepoint 2010 environment. At least two years of Windows server 2008 and one year of Powershell Scripting experience. SQL Server 2008, SQL, Active Directory, SharePoint Designer experience preferred. A strong knowledge of branding and/or custom coding for User Interface enhancements in Sharepoint 2010 is required.

Requires the application of specific IT concepts within area of technical expertise. In-depth functional knowledge and expertise in multiple technology environments, programs, languages, etc. Ability to interact and effectively communicate with a diverse employee and student population. Ability to manage own work and work of others to unit performance standards for cost, quality, and output (e.g., demonstrated supervisory and organizational skills, ability to set priorities for self and others, schedule work activities, allocate resources and provide appropriate feedback. Possess advanced analysis, coding, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills; Business process analysis skills; Project management skills. Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities in a highly challenging environment. Must be able to schedule assignments and prioritize according to strategic goals in a multi-tasking environment. Requires advanced knowledge of and experience with branding in SharePoint 2010. The applicant should be highly skilled in CSS and applying it to Master Pages and Page Layouts in SharePoint 2010, using Firebug or other software for efficiency. User Interface (UI) enhancements in SharePoint will require strong experience with CSS, JavaScript, XSL, XML, and JQuery. .NET is preferred. A solid skill set including HTML, Dreamweaver, server side scripts (.JSP.ASP), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), electronic content management systems (CMS), Share Point 2010 including SharePoint 2010 Designer and Branding and Design experience, ADA (Section 508) compliance, information architecture (IA), user experience (UX), Adobe Acrobat and CVS. SQL experience is desired. Experience with Visual Studio and developing custom web parts preferred. This position must have experience with web graphic design/development and support, reviewing, accessing, and recommending best practices for Information Architecture (IA) and User Experience (UX) based on best practices and user testing, relational database concepts (SQL), web analytics and is familiar with business intelligence services.
