Position Title: SMTS TD Process Engineer

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Summary of Duties: Responsible for providing technical mentoring for the Thin Films team of scientists/engineers in 300 mm Advanced Module Technology Development activities for the development of 20 nm and beyond. Work closely with all process units cross-functionally. Maintain close interaction with internal GLOBALFOUNDRIES manufacturing and operations team, research and development teams, and globally. Collaborate on Thin Films process module roadmaps across all internal organizations globally to ensure the needs of all stakeholders, manufacturing/operations teams, integration/device teams, and all pertinent research and development teams are met. Prepare and execute plans for transferring technologies to and from other GLOBALFOUNDRIES organizations, delivered with the appropriate collaborated milestones and schedule on time.

Qualifications: Requires a Doctorate in Chemistry, Engineering, or closely related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the position offered or as a Process Development Engineer, Process Development Manager, Engineer for semiconductor industry, or related occupation. Will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in the fields listed above plus 9 years of experience or a Master’s degree in the listed fields plus 7 years of experience in lieu of a Ph.D. and 5 years of experience. The position requires demonstrated 300 mm experience; high volume manufacturing/startup experience. Experience with technology transfer and module/process development; demonstrated high level of technical leadership and team mentoring. Demonstrated ability to organize, lead, and mentor teams in technology transfer, module development, high volume manufacturing, or a combination of all three. Proven project management skills and ability to deliver ahead of schedule. Strong business and financial acumen. Demonstrated statistical and analytic skills (.e.g Six Sigma) and demonstrated ability to apply cost and savings to all work (e.g. CoO).
