Software Developer - Learning Management System


The Software Developer will work with other design and development members to assist in design and analysis of software solutions and provide primary implementation services. The Software Developer will work with design documents to select, perform feasibility, implement and test solutions using the most appropriate architectures, languages and tools.


Knowledgeable and experienced in all of the following languages and technologies: C#, ASP.Net, IIS, XML, HTML (HTML5 Preferred), CSS2+, Javascript, MS SQL / Transact SQL, database design and modelling, Visual Studio .NET, .NET compiler (CSC), Nunit, SOAP, web services, WCF Data Services, Subversion or git

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Required

- Minimum of 2 years experience in implementing software solutions Required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in architecting and/or designing solutions from customer requirements Required
- Excellent collaboration, interaction and partnering skills. Required.
- Deep practical knowledge of software development, including:
o Web application development
o Database design
o Code revision management
o Unit testing and quality assurance

- Skillsets to include all languages and technologies indicated in Qualifications above
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple task assignments
- Ability to communicate with technical and non technical users effectively in English
- Advanced personal computer skills (MS productivity tools: Outlook, Office, SharePoint, etc.)
- Handles stress effectively
- Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills
- Excellent problem solving and analysis abilities
- Ability to work effectively independently and appropriately manage time
- Ability to break problems down into manageable tasks and prioritize

- Codes and debugs software applications based upon design requirements and design documentation
- Performs software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code
metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
- Assists in development of design documentation
- Assists in development of user level documentation
- Develops, executes and validates software unit tests and performs quality assurance
- Performs performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability analysis, and automation
- Integrates software with existing systems
- Evaluates and identifies new technologies for implementation
- Maintains compliance with organizational data, software and security requirements
