Provide clerical case management services to the Campus Assessment Specialist to include performing data entry, organizing, managing and coordinating required case management documentation of Special Education students.
High school diploma or GED
Ability to work within a confidential environment and maintain the confidentiality of information, records and materials.
Knowledge of special education fundamentals
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases and do word processing
Ability to use office equipment
Proficient skills in file maintenance
Ability to meet established timelines
Two years office experience, preferably in a public education environment
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional and Program Management
•Assist Special Education Assessment Specialist and Special Education department staff to meet departments' needs.
•Compile pertinent data as needed when preparing various state and local reports.
•Maintain physical and computerized departmental files and records as needed.
•Assist the Assessment preparing, organizing and inventorying special education materials/supplies.
•Maintain confidentiality of special education information.
•Takes initiative to assist others and works in harmony with peers and associates.
•Displays professionalism in dealing with others.
•Is punctual, maintains good attendance and submits weekly schedule as requested.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Personal computer, printer, scanner, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Share office space. Tolerate moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting as required on the job.
