Bachelor's Degree

Experience

Progressive employment experience in social services, human services, and the behavioral sciences.

Experience working with vulnerable populations, including children and families.

Experience providing services to families in the home setting.

Language Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English languages, required.

Travel Requirements

Driving and out of town travel required at least 10%-15% of the time. Must be available to travel within 24 hours of being notified as needed.

Other Requirements

Must be computer literate; must have ability to understand and use technology.

Ability to work independently, and available to work evenings and weekends.

Must possess a valid driver's license, current driver's insurance and have an excellent driving record.

Must have reliable vehicle for conducting home visits.

Possess excellent interpersonal skills, as well as, organizational and planning skills.

Possess sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.

Critical Action Items

Responsible for thoroughly reviewing and confirming all information is included on all sponsor reunification referrals and client documentation for assigned caseload.

Assist families in completion of required documentation and submission of required documentation, including notarizing and fingerprinting relevant individuals.

Participate in weekly supervision with Family Reunification Worker Team Lead.

Participate in training workshops, seminars, education programs and other activities that promote professional growth and development.

Driving and out of town travel required at least 10%-15% of the time.

Measurable Deliverables

Maintain a full caseload and meet required deadlines.

Efficiently complete assignments.

Prepare, compile, and submit case notes documenting services.

Having a complete understanding of tasks, and the ability to complete those tasks within the time frames allotted.

Engaging and involving the client in the process of completing documentation and in completing tasks required in the family reunification process.

Demonstrating professionalism at all times when working with clients in the home setting.

Complete weekly case staffing with colleagues and/or supervisor.
