Position Description & Responsibilities:
Compuware is hiring strong SQL / SSIS developers who will thrive as a consultant but also enjoy a dynamic career path within the organization locally. On projects, this developer will design, develop, test, document and deploy programs to support distributed software systems using latest technologies from multiple data sources.
Understand business, technical, and infrastructure requirements
Assist in the creation of general system design and technical specifications for new/replacement/enhancement systems taking into consideration server capacity, limitations and system availability
Apply coding and analytical skills in all phases of the system life cycle
Develop design artifacts from requirements documents
Test, debug, support and maintain application programs for customers in a variety of industries, lines of business and environments
Perform additional duties as required
3 Years experience building SSIS / DTS Packages (ETL Type packages)
Experience with pulling data from multiple data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, MS Access, flat files, excel files)
Strong T-SQL Skills
Experience with SQL Server 2000 and 2008 is a must
Exceptional communication skills
Strong preference will be given to candidates with additional experiences in BI (for ex- SSRS) and/or .Net technologies
