Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Sr Mechanical and Optical Lab Technician with a leading company in Mountain View, CA.

In this critical position, you will be part of exciting fast-paced projects. Your role will include
working as a team with mechanical, hardware and software engineers to build camera systems
while improving existing manufacturing processes.

The most successful candidate for the role will have strong attention to details and follow the
best practices in the field of assembly and qualification of high quality optics designed for harsh
environments.
An experience as a multi-disciplinary project and in a startup-like environment involving optics,
mechanical integration, hardware and software and overall qualification would be a clear plus.

Responsibilities:

. Assemble and calibrate optical systems with minor directions
. Respond to and resolve emergent problems, improve current processes
. Write assembly and calibration procedures and train technicians with the help of
manufacturing engineers
. Assist engineers during environmental tests and qualification of the equipment:
temperature, vibration, humidity, EMI tests...
. Maintain labs equipment to premium quality, if needed suggest purchase additional
equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

. Technical troubleshooting and assembly experience in the field of Optics and
camera assembly (bonding techniques...)
. Strong experience with manipulating optical components in a class 100 environment
. Experience with manipulating spreadsheets
. Familiar with Linux Operating System

Preferred Qualifications:

. Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Engineering Technology
or related field
. Experience with CAD design tools (ProE preferred)
. Excellent oral communication skills, with strong presentation skills
. Experience working in multidisciplinary small team
. Experience with training personnel and writing procedures
. Experience with Linux OS
. Familiar with one programming language: matlab, C/C++ or python
