The Senior Patient Coordinator administers the daily desk operations in the dental clinic that provide excellent customer service skills to both the patients and students of BU Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Provides a positive student and patient experience, collect money, update patient demographics, schedule student/patient appointments and to complete/close out appointments. If the clinical administrator is absent, the Senior Patient Coordinator acts in their place providing guidance and overseeing the workflow of the front desk.
Coordinates all aspects of patient care by; Requesting charts, conducting patient check in protocols, updating patient demographics and insurance information. Printing out necessary sign in sheets. Maintaining accurate patient record with correct student/covering information.
Acts as telephone receptionist by; screening messages and checking voicemail messages, transferring patients to appropriate departments if needed, answering questions within context of policies and procedures with contact sometimes of difficult nature.
Support GSDM Business Operations by; Collecting fees and monies, entering financial data in financial system, close session/appts, verifies all faculty and patient signatures. Print out treatment plans for student/ faculty signatures. Perform Daily Cash out protocols
Provide good, quality customer service by; warmly greeting and helping all patient and students and directing them to appropriate services, source.
Coordinates the day to day Clinical Operations patient appointments, recording cancellation, update patient changes Maintaining Clinic Appt scheduler to ensure accuracy with correct faculty and chairs for daily booking. Assigns operatories/bays to students using data sources.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED and 1-3 years of relevant experience.
