SR SYSTEMS SUPPORT ANALYST 1
Location: Methodist Health System
Department: Information Services
Job Purpose: The primary purpose of the Sr System Support analyst position is to research, design, program, test, install, and maintain assigned programs and systems. Meditech billing applications.
Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.

A high level of analytical ability is required to find solutions to difficult technical or administrative problems to determine economic feasibility or options available, and to assess time involved in system changes.
Experience with one or more of the following vendors applications: Lawson, Meditech, McKesson, Microsoft SQL, PC SAS and API
Extensive exposure to Operating Systems, Computer Hardware facilities and exposure to System Design.
Extensive exposure to programming techniques
Interpersonal skills are needed to communicate with department users regarding application problems
Maintains a professional approach in all situations
Must work long hours if system difficulties result from hardware, software, or personnel problems.
Willing to travel and work at off-site location as needed
Work Experience: 5 or more years implementing and supporting business software applications is preferred.
Communicates with project leaders, other analysts, and users to develop system requirements and solutions
Demonstrates ability to manage many jobs at one time, balancing resources, priorities, deadlines and time. The work is highly technical and the incumbent is often required to work independently. Demonstrates ability to personally complete all aspects of a project.
Develops design specifications, implementation schedules, and/or software solutions including, but not limited to reports, databases, dictionaries, and scripts
Maintains current, detailed system documentation for assigned applications
Mentors team members as necessary, and informs leadership team of all events pertaining to the operations of assigned applications and projects
Performs or ensures testing is completed for all updates>> <
Strives to achieve accurate, reliable, and timely service
Understands and is able to articulate user needs and problems and determines feasibility of solutions. May be called upon as a technical resource for other project teams.
