Works with Director to develop understanding of business issues, including Southwest Airlines position in the market and works closely with creative and media agencies to develop holistic, strategic marketing and advertising solutions.

Oversee and maintain creative consistency between Executives' creative goals and Creative Team's execution.

Lead and oversee Southwest Associate Managers and Specialists in the production of advertising campaigns from concept evaluation through execution and media placement ensuring the final campaign is consistent with strategy.

Direct campaign work across all advertising mediums including television, radio, print, outdoor and work closely with the Digital team to ensure the delivery of a holistic, integrated campaign.

Communicate strategic plans to creative team for the development of all Brand and Local Market advertising campaigns.

Work alongside Strategy Sr Manager during the creative brief process to develop assignments in support of identified goals.

Ensure advertising campaigns are created cost efficiently and delivered within budget parameters.

Review final scripts to ensure that they reflect and comply with strategic plans.

Develop good working relationships and communication with agencies and internal departments.

Minimum Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required.

EXPERIENCE:

8+ years experience in advertising/production required.

4+ years leadership experience required.

3+ years of direct supervisory experience is required

7+ yrs experience managing advertising for "Business to Consumer" company

Demonstrated experience in marketing strategy development is required

Extensive experience in creative production specifically for TV production but also including Print,Billboards and Radio is required

Advertising agency experience is preferred

Demonstrated experience in strategy and business case development preferred.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Must be able to occasionally lift boxes of advertising collateral averaging 40 lbs.

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

Must be able to work well with others as part of a Team.

Must be fluent (oral and written) in English. Additional fluency in Spanish is preferred.

Must be able to establish procedures and policies to build and maintain trust within Team.

Must be able to accomplish results through review of Team projects and providing feedback for minor modifications.

Acts as an advisor to Leaders to help meet deadlines or resolve complex problems.

Develops budgets, schedules and performance standards on large projects.

Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long range goals of the department.

Capable of making decisions or recommendations which would have substantial impact on expenditure of time, People resources, and budgets.

Must be able to gain commitment to shared goals with peers, Coworkers and Customer Representatives concerning projects, operational decisions and timelines.

Must be able to conduct briefings and meetings for internal and external representatives at all levels from Direct Reports to Sr Level Executives.

Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Must be proactive and able to deliver innovative thinking.

Must be an effective developer of People with experience in coaching and mentoring.

Must have proven track history of building great Teams and cross functional partnerships.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to travel, with overnight stays, several times a year and to work some nights and weekends.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance.
