As a Senior Solutions Specialist you will orks as a member of a consulting team or as an individual Consultant on implementation, enhancement, or integration projects, either onsite or remote. The Senior Consultant exercises judgment on methods and techniques for obtaining solutions within generally defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Always works to promote customer satisfaction, and looks for opportunities to sell add-on services or license. When not actively involved in a project, the Senior Solutions Consultant will engage in internal training, service engineering projects, and/or sales support. Priorities are delivery, sales and personal development.
Responsibilities
Assists the project team by gathering knowledge about business processes from clients in order to effectively determine project scope, customer and solution requirements
Develops effective solutions with moderate or light supervision
Maintains good working relationships with customers, sales other Precise functional disciplines and partner organizations
Participates in and contributes to customer and internal meetings
Develops and maintains high level of knowledge of Precise solutions, solution templates and systems
Provides regular account, project status, and project issues updates to the project manager
Ensures compliance with internal and external company policies and procedures
Provides Sales Support as appropriate
Writes technical content for contract documents, RFPs, RFQs, etc. and contributes to estimates
Consistent and timely reporting of engagement progress, timesheets, and all operational requirements
Helps architect or delivery manager gather information for solution design and implementation
Promotes and encourages using standard solutions by recommending workarounds and business process re-engineering
Provides leadership in building the solution through the creation of workflows, processes, test plans, training material and user interfaces
Actively coaches and transfers knowledge and skills to consultants and customers
Provides advanced public and on site training to Precise customers and partners
Increases Professional Service and License business by identifying potential opportunities within existing accounts
Develops work plan for small project or component of larger project with limited supervision and assists Project Manager where required
Education, Experience, Key Requirements
Bachelor‘s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant discipline required; higher level degrees preferred
Minimum of 7 years IT, consulting, or other relevant experience
Programming skills specific to Java; Sun certification a plus
Excellent technical skills with knowledge of UNIX, NT, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2, HTML and Javascript
Precise product experience
Certification in project management a plus
Highly developed organizational skills
Strong customer facing skills including top oral presentation and written communications skills
Ability to work successfully in teams
Strong analytical skills, particularly in requirements, resolution, and performance analysis
Must be able to travel extensively (at least 75%) including extended periods away from home
