Responsibility for managing the profitability of accounts and the development and implementation of client/broker strategies to ensure the alignment with overall Munich Re Group goals
  • Achieve and monitor profitability on all existing accounts and markets and implement necessary enhancements
  • Supervising analysis and evaluation of new developments and trends in the market and identifications of business potential in private and public health market
  • Manage all client operational reviews including underwriting, claims and actuarial
  • Consult and coordinate all support services for assigned accounts/cedents/clients with claims, actuarial, accounting and contracts of reinsurance
  • Lead the negotiations with reinsurance clients and review contract and endorsement wording to ensure accuracy
  • Oversee the evaluation and decision making as respects new business submissions
  • Participate on strategic and financial planning and controlling to support Head of Regional Market Unit RI
  • Primary point of contact for HealthCare clients and set up/ maintain a systematic relationship management (coordinate accounts, define measures, planning of customer and market development)
  • Develop and maintain an intimate knowledge of all key facets of assigned client companies/ brokers
  • Creation, prioritization and implementation of corporate client/broker strategies and targets for all assigned clients/brokers, in line with MR Group and Division strategies
  • Actively drive acquisition of new customers and former customers and marketing the full Munich Re Group product range in coordination with respective units / groups / functions
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations and ensure that proposals are tailored to be solution-oriented to the needs and motivations of clients and prospects
  • Plan necessary resources to achieve defined goals in coordination with Client Executive and manage Client Analysts and Technical Assistants including performance evaluations, staff development and compensation administration
  • Managing and develop staff/ direct reports
  • Plan necessary resources to achieve defined goals and manage Underwriter teams including all leadership tasks and the development of staff/direct reports

  • Bachelor degree, major/minor in economics, finance or actuarial science
  • At least 10 years experience with the business and products of health insurance and/or reinsurance
  • Education as actuary desired or extensive experiences in primary health underwriting/actuarial
  • Experience in reinsurance contracts, accounting concepts and healthcare claims
  • Proven effective sales, client management/account executive experience
  • Proven strong interpersonal and communication skills with a special focus on relationship management
  • Ability to explain complex transaction structures to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
