Conceive, apply and implement product design concepts and unique solutions involving specific software products and applications. Coordinate the introduction of methods, tools, technologies and processes with the project team; develops and synthesizes software system requirements; provides internal consultative support to the technical organization and product development teams. Develop, acquire and implement new technological capabilities. Appraise new products, applications and/or process proposals. Plan, partition, and execute and/or direct all or portions of a large-scale software project; and lead and/or participate in multi-functional product research and development teams as well as product and/or system design reviews.
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, technical/engineering discipline, Business Administration or related plus 6 years of experience in the offered position or closely related position.

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Experience working as a developer for one or more very large code base projects (at least 2 million lines of code (LOC) or more). Experience developing domain-specific platforms. Experience in object oriented design using UML and design patterns. Experience developing distributed systems using DCOM. Experience developing in the FastObjects database environment. Experience developing embedded software. Experience developing interfaces to Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) using standardized protocols. Experience in C++ and C#.
