Description – Overview
The ideal applicant will have experience documenting the processing of data and
development of software applications. Proficiency in SAS and LISREL statistical
Compiles, analyzes and reports statistical data from various projects and prepares data for
publication and distribution.
Develop and maintain multiple, cross-sectional and longitudinal datasets for analysis.
Routine data manipulations (e.g., cleaning and merging data sets, creating new variables,
writing macros and formatting variables).
Conduct and document a wide variety of statistical analyses, including simple
descriptives, multiple regression, logistic regression, longitudinal analyses, CART
analyses (classification and regression tree), structural equation modeling (including
confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis with observed and latent variables, latent
growth curve models).
Work with the research team in the preparation and presentation of analytic findings for
project reports, presentations, and scholarly publications.
Self-motivated and independent in performing research work required by funded research
Other duties as assigned.
Required: MS in statistics, quantitative methods, educational psychology, psychometrics,
public health, or other behavioral/social sciences degree or related field.
Required: One year experience with computational servers or computational PCs. Experience documenting the processing of data and development of software applications.
Preferred: Experience documenting the processing of data and development of software applications. Proficiency in SAS and LISREL statistical software.
Experience solving problems related to non-normally distributed data, multilevel data, missing data, and other advanced data issues.
Experience in measurement scale construction and evaluation of their psychometric properties
Ability to communicate in English, work collaboratively and effectively with faculty, staff, and others
Ability to sometimes explain statistical issues in non-statistical terms to our multidisciplinary research team
Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills
