Receive, handle, store and ship aircraft parts, material, equipment and tooling. Record each activity in the company’s inventory management system accurately and in a timely manner. Provide responsive service and keep the store clean and well organized. Perform other duties as assigned by the Stores Supervisor and/or the Manager of Material Control to include assembling materials for issuance, rotating parts and performing cycle counts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

- Receive, sign for, process and safely handle aircraft maintenance related parts, material, equipment and tooling, to include entering data into the inventory management system and processing the associated documentation

- Provide responsive service to the maintenance technicians

- Appropriately issue materials and process returns

- Effectively resolve issues as they arise and keep transactions up to date in the system

- Enter outstation inventory transactions into the inventory management system

- Package items for shipment and coordinate with shipping vendors for pick up

- Carry out major repetitive activities and/or special projects as directed by the Stores Supervisor or the Manager of Material Control. This includes the assembly of parts and materials required to support heavy maintenance / modifications or induction aircraft, the performance of physical inventory counts, the rotation of shelf life limited parts, the reorganization of inventory or the warehouse layout, re-labeling bins, etc., as required

- Keep the store clean and well organized

- Effective Communication Skills, both verbal and written

INTERACTIONS :

The position’s primary responsibility is to support the Maintenance Department with respect to aircraft repair and servicing activities. This includes, as necessary, Line Maintenance, Quality Control, Heavy Maintenance, Planning and Engineering. To assure the Material Services department’s daily objectives are met, frequent communication with the Stores Supervisor and/or Manager of Material Control is desirable. Also, internally, the position may interact with Accounting, IT, Stations and GSE functions. Externally, the position may also interact with purchase and repair vendors, contract maintenance providers and airports

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS :

- Must pass a five (5) year background check and pre-employment drug screen

- Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986

EDUCATION :

High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE :

Stockroom/Warehouse experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE :

Basic Computer Skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Indoors – Warehouse

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS :

Ability to lift 70 lbs – load/unload boxes, pack up parts. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (High Visibility clothing, Ear protection, safety glasses) when required
