Analyzes applications and related data sent to Student Financial Affairs from prospective students. Makes award decisions encompassing the synthesis of all student and parent demographic and financial data; correlating that information with the many award decision steps and extensive eligibility requirements which encompass numerous federal/state/university student aid programs. This includes corresponding with these students, providing them with information and guidelines concerning multiple financial aid programs.
Liaison between the servicing agency and Student Financial Affairs for all loans processed and transmitted. Handles all reports and errors related to those transmitted to the servicer. Analyzes discrepancies and makes decisions based on correlating information.
Monitor and manually calculate awards for transfer students. Determine reinstatement of Title IV aid for students with bankruptcy or defaulted loans.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Assist with awarding and processing of Short Term Emergency Loans.
Travel in relation to financial aid presentations, professional development workshops, etc.
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
