Participate in significant and energetic outreach to and engagement with students, primarily undergraduates, regarding the services and programs of the Center for Career Development (CCD) and the Educational Resource Center (ERC). Manage and supervise CCD-ERC first floor operations at the Center for Student Services. Create a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere to facilitate student engagement with both offices. Schedule, facilitate, and manage CCD and ERC workshops and programs both in the Center as well as across campus. Represent the CCD and ERC at department-specific programs and campus-wide events. Identify, hire, train, and supervise the paraprofessional student staff (Student Ambassadors) to engage clients (primarily undergraduate students) in a way that encourages their utilization of CCD and ERC services. Assist with identifying student needs and concerns at BU and recommend and develop new programs. This position is 40 hours per week.

Required Skills

Requires: B.A./B.S., Masters degree preferred, strong writing, organizational, communication, public speaking, and analytical skills; attention to detail, timeliness, the ability to take initiative, and demonstrated success working both independently and collaboratively, and one to three years of experience leading, training, and team-building with college-age young people are preferred.
