An Environmental coalition seeks young professionals with experience or an interest in community organizing for a summer campaign to advance renewable energy and energy efficiency in Ohio.
Earlier this year, the Ohio General Assembly sought to review and possibly revise Ohio’s renewable energy and energy efficiency standards. This will be an on the ground experience focused on promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency policies in the state of Ohio. Organizers work will support the efforts of the leading environmental organizations in Ohio.
Work will be predominately on weekends. Work will focus primarily but not exclusively on organizing, engaging, and turning out members of the public to events and activities focused on the benefits of energy efficiency and renewable energy. Applicants must be outgoing, energetic, intelligent, committed to environmental protection, and have a reliable transportation. The job starts immediately and runs through early fall.
