Provides friendly service to and maintains positive relationships with all internal and external Customers.

Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our Company.

Ensure Material Planners are involved in production and planning meetings for heavy maintenance scheduled aircraft.

Works with Maintenance Planning Coordinators and tracks the material needs for fleet modification programs.

Works with RON Planning group and coordinates materials needs with the Inventory Control and Purchasing groups.

Oversees the update and maintenance of materials automated tools such as the forecasting and planning application and materials data warehouse.

Builds and updates yearly audit schedules. Also coordinates audit activity with the Inventory management Supervisor.

Oversees the generation of materials demand forecasting schedules and coordinates research requirements with Inventory Management Supervisor.

Oversees the generation of purchasing lead-time performance schedules and coordinates action requirements with Purchasing Supervisor.

Develops Customer Satisfaction Scorecard and assess the Materials Department customer response performance.

Develops yearly goals and objectives for the materials Planning Group.

Ensures Material Planners receive appropriate on the job, internal and external training.

Administers personnel matters such as performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.

Must be capable of reading and interpreting technical documents relating to inventory and procurement research.

Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.

May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders.

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION (Level, and degree if applicable)

College or Associate Degree preferred.

Will substitute years of relevant materials planning experience for degree.

Prior supervisor experience required.

Minimum of 10 year's materials planning or similar relevant planning experiences either in a Fortune 500 firm or aviation related company.

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

Must be able to work well with others as part of a Team.

Strong written, verbal and organizational skills and comfortable in using Microsoft products such as Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint as tools to communicate.

Mental capacity to interpret materials planning or similar relevant planning experiences either in a Fortune 500 firm or aviation related company.

Capable of assessing the effectiveness of current planning procedures and policies and creating revisions or updates as needed.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
