Acts independently to organize and delegate daily activities of Respiratory Care staff. Provides leadership counseling and direction to subordinates. Develops policies and procedures, troubleshoots and corrects problems associated with patient care. Supports excellence in patient care. Acts as a direct liaison between staff personnel and nursing/medical staff as a result of policy interpretation, patient incidents or conflicts. Uses and understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.
Graduate of an NBRC approved school for respiratory care. Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician by NBRC with registry preferred with AAS degree. Licensed by New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care. Minimum of 2-3 years clinical respiratory care practitioner experience with strong critical care background. Previous instruction experience preferred.
