Position Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supervisory Acquisition Program Manager providing planning, directing, organizing and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Program Management Branch. This position is located in Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Arlington, Virginia.

Plans, organizes and directs the activities of the organization, ensuring that acquisition program management complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsiblities.
Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Performs individual Acquisition Program Manager tasks that require the incumbent develop, implement and control contractual, financial and technical aspects of a project/program through the designated phases of the acquisition cycle for which no closely related precedents exist.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade ( GS-13 ) or equivalent. Specialized experience must include (1) Assessing and managing the cost, schedule, and technical performance progress of assigned projects or programs through the required phases of the acquisition cycle, (2) Developing and implementing program controls, (3) Planning, organizing, and coordinating activities related to contracting, engineering, testing, and logistics, (4) Reviewing and directing the progress of applicable contracts in meeting program objectives, AND (5) Preparing briefings, studies, and other analyses for presentation to management officials and stakeholders.

TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) Restrictions for GS Positions: Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the GS-13 or higher grade within the Federal Civil Service (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) to be considered for referral. The purpose of TIG restrictions is to prevent excessively rapid promotions in competitive service GS positions and to protect competitive principles.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE : Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
