The primary purpose of this position is to provide supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique equipment, parts, and supplies.
Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.
Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, season demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.
Performs property accountability and management.
Performs document control work involved in the processing of supply transactions.
Provides assistance to customers, storage depots, or other organizations.
Performs general clerical support work.

At least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-05) or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal Service.
Experience that equipped you the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
This experience is equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization and may consist of m
aintaining contact with customers and other offices on program requirements for urgent, critical shortage, and other special items; determining when and how many items will be ordered and adjusts replenishment levels for nonrecurring and not previously carried items; correcting routine discrepancies; editing documents for urgent, critical shortage items or other items requiring special handling; responds to visitor and telephone inquiries on supply problems, and issues; maintaining and annotated files with minimal errors providing for easy and timely retrieval/location of material.
(TIG) Requirement for General Schedule (GS) Positions:
Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the GS-05 or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the Federal Civil Service to be considered for referral.
The purpose of TIG restrictions is to prevent excessively rapid promotions in competitive service GS positions and to protect competitive principles.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods.
Knowledge of policies and procedures for requisitioning and issuing equipment and/or parts.
Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated suppy system.
Knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures.
Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.
Ability to conduct extensive searches for information and to reconstruct records for complex supply transactions.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Trains assigned drill status guard members to perform the research recording, computer and Registered Equipment Management program.
