Provide advanced practice care for patients in the surgical setting. Engage in independent decision-making regarding the health care of individuals, families and groups across the lifespan and the health care continuum. Assist in the overall pre, intra and post-operative management of the patient. Perform daily surgical rounds and follow up on all patients and consults including physical exams, diagnostic, and therapeutic intervention. Provides first assisting services in the operating room. Supports the attending surgical staff in General, Vascular, ENT and Orthopedics by performing a variety of minor invasive procedures, assisting with consultation and required medical record documentation. Work collaboratively with other care givers to ensure quality care of patients. Works under the supervision of designated General Surgeon. QUALIFICATIONS : CT PA license required, with NCCPA Board Certification. Two years PA experience, with one year in surgery or Surgical Residency strongly preferred. HOURS: Full time position, Rotating shift coverage.
