The Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating programs to achieve our Health and Safety goals and to administer our Workers Compensation program to provide responsive effective medical treatment, quick return to work, and to minimize overall costs.
Achieve stated safety goals
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards
Achieve Workers Compensation cost goals
Conduct proactive, action based programs to reduce or eliminate work related accidents or injuries
Train and develop first line supervisors to effectively lead safety awareness in their departments to improve our safety performance
Lead Safety teams and other cross functional teams to realize the move to an Engaged workforce
What do I need to be considered a candidate?
3 years of experience conducting a Safety and Workers Compensation program in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA standards and progressive safety management practices
High School Diploma required, BS preferred
Strong communications, facilitation, and presentation skills
Strong PC skills
Well developed organizational and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
