SUMMARY: The Safety Data Clerk is responsible for documenting activities within the Safety Department. This documentation (Logging) includes; Equipment Inspection Records, JSA scanning and placement on the server, preparation of meeting notes, adding data to tracking and corrective action logs, and ordering supplies for the Safety/Training Departments. Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Providing administrative assistance to the EHS team at Guymon, which includes ordering supplies, entering tracking information for daily operator inspections, Personal Protective Equipment Audits logs, Corrective Action Logs, scanning JSAs and placing the JSAs on the server for access by operations personnel, logging completion of management audits, and log supervisor training in the department tracking logs.
- Assisting with rewrites of policies or procedures pertaining to the safety department. On occasion assist with the creation of presentations using PowerPoint.
- Occasionally access and use ADP (HR system) and ICE (Incident Tracking) systems.
- Assist EH&S Manager and other Safety Representatives to ensure all EH&S programs meet compliance with Corporate and government guidelines; such as OSHA and EPA.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School degree or equivalent, high proficiency using Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) .
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be fluent in written and oral communication in the English language, bilingual Spanish is preferred, but not mandatory. Ability to effectively respond to questions from employees, supervisors, and managers.
REASONING ABILITY AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Must be able to climb stairs and occasionally work in cold and warm temperature environments. Able to wear applicable personal protective equipment as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment includes a manufacturing environment and normal office environment as well as climate extremes found in the production operations. Noise level varies with area of production the employee is working in.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established as needed by operations and at the discretion of management. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as necessary.
