Overview:
SafeWorks, LLC is the leading provider of powered scaffolding and platform access solutions worldwide. We provide innovative safety and access products and accessories to the construction, maintenance, restoration, and wind-energy marketplaces. We have an immediate opening for a Safety Manager at our Tukwila headquarters, where we manufacture hoists and related access equipment.
The Safety Manager will plan, direct and coordinate the company’s workplace safety program. The safety manager will develop and manage the safety program and drive its implementation across the global organization, including locations across the United States and in several other countries.
Responsibilities:
Lead in the development and implementation of workplace safety management, policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal safety and health laws and regulations at all locations. Provide direction for work related injury/illness and incident management activities.
Audit the workplace organization and associated behaviors to ensure that training, processes and policies are being adhered to and consistent.
Facilitate the analysis of specific job duties. Develop and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to risks and prevent injury. Identify best practices and incorporate these into standard work instructions.
Ensure safety recordkeeping and data integrity and provide operations with accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives.
Work with customers to ensure all required safety obligations are in place and meet their requirements. Work with purchasing department to ensure all suppliers meet SafeWorks’ safety requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, ergonomics or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 10 years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing and field service operations. Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with audience ranging from skilled trades to senior executives.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 40%
