This position provides safety leadership and technical support to the CS&L organization. This position is responsible for the development and management of strategies that will drive safety improvements and reduce cost associated with employee injuries. This position is also a technical resource that supports individual locations for safety and environmental issue resolution. The position partners with senior leaders in the CS&L organization on issues of implementation of the improvement strategies.
Essential Functions of the Role:
Assist Senior Leadership Team in the development of long range strategic and short term tactical safety improvement plans to address leading causes of loss. Partner with leadership to coordinate the implementation of strategies and action plans in each area in the CS&L organization. Communicate with senior leaders to ensure they are fully engaged in the safety process for their areas of responsibilities. Forge strategic partnerships with parallel functions to drive loss reduction-WC Case Management, DOT compliance, L6S, etc. Develop safety communications/training programs/materials to educate workforce and frontline leaders in risk reduction and compliance topics as required. Assist focus locations in the development and implementation of site specific initiatives to address reducing loss as well as OSHA, DOT, environmental and Kraft S&E Standards compliance matters. This includes auditing select locations to ensure compliance. Other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Work Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Engineering, or Safety Management Minimum 3-years’ experience in a safety and environmental functional role.
