Sales & New Business Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Business Analyst (SBA) is primarily responsible for driving the divisional strategic planning process--from plan development through implementation and follow-up. The SBA will be focused on core deliverables such as improving existing market performance, developing new markets, enhancing communication to and between field staff, and coaching/training Market Directors (MD) and Territory Managers (TM) for financial success. In collaboration with the Divisional Manager (DM) and corporate management, the SBA will review market performance indicators and staffing levels on a weekly basis, compile and present information on the team�s progress, and make recommendations and/or take corrective actions to achieve revenue goals. The SBA will also support Sales and Human Resources with the MD and TM performance improvement process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting
�Quarterly refresh the data or obtain the data from marketing regarding targeted hiring
�Overlay with current headcount by division
�Meet with mgmt to review next quarter�s targets
�Feed targeting hiring by zip to senior recruiters
�Track actual hires by group into priority based on quarterly objectives such as A, B, and C territories on a weekly basis and work with senior recruiters. No more than x% in C areas etc.

Activity Metrics
�Develop method to capture and report weekly/monthly on key activity measures such as weekly results of interviews with sales school graduates
�Review lead mgmt metrics including key dashboard ratios from the lead systems
�Review impact of incentive programs such as trip and WCS awards and Stairway to Platinum
�Review right environment factors (complaints, proper on boarding, etc.)

Weekly Results Meetings
�Hold meetings with sales mgmt weekly to review weekly/monthly results and recommend areas to focus on for mgmt use in their communication to the DM�s.
�To include Manpower, leverage ratios, productivity, total APV vs. plan, retention, etc.

Divisional P & L
�Understand the divisional financial statements and communicate results and key metrics from the quarterly financials to include acquisition costs vs. plan and pricing and general expenses by division for travel, meetings etc.
�Forecast support for the upcoming periods based on realistic levels of key metrics.

Manpower Management
�Proactively identify key issues facing manpower such as TM�s approaching end of subsidy or Agents nearing end of subsidy period
�Understand the plan levels and what levers are available to impact the ability of the division to meet plan such as productivity, in field percent, quality of business, net gain in agents etc.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
�Successful and stable work history
�3-5 years business work experience preferred
�Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills
�Excellent PC skills including demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
�College degree in Business or related field
�10% Travel required
�Knowledge of the insurance industry desired
