Mercom is looking for self-motivated individuals to join our team as Sales Account Executives! This position's basic function is to manage assigned clients and client-related services as directed by management. Candidates will be required to work from 8am to 5pm in an office setting. Applicants should have excellent computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of the IT field is helpful. Two years of sales experience is preferred. Government Sector sales experience is a plus.|
Attend client and vendor meetings as directed, including weekly department meetings and training sessions.
Develop and manage client base through prospecting, setting appointments and servicing clients via telephone and personal contact.
Evaluate needs of prospective and current clients in an effective manner.
Apply knowledge of products and services, and demonstrate benefits and features as needed.
Maintain files of appointments and leads for prospective clients.
Perform Customer Service Responsibilities as needed.
Prepare quotes and proposals appropriate for customer needs.
Interdepartmental coordination including logistics and accounting.
Research products and pricing from various vendors to match customer needs.
Assist team members to accomplish group goals.
Continually increase industry specific knowledge of products and services.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
