Summary:

Interact with prospective clients in a consultative sales process selling health, life, and associated products.

Work in a fast-paced call center to initiate outbound calls to potential and existing customers. Job is to create new clients or sell additional products to drive revenue by contacting existing customers to review their current products or to make calls to prospective customers. The goal is to help clients afford and attain the ideal products for their individual and family situation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Enter information into an automatic system as you are speaking with customers
  • Use multi-line phone systems
  • Establish accounts in billing systems
  • Quote and compute rates for new products accurately
  • Summarize the contact and explain next steps
  • Assist with inbound calls during times of high volume
  • Interact with other functional groups to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Meet established productivity goals: sales, call handling time, records accuracy
  • Work simultaneously with multiple computer applications and databases
  • Contact businesses or private individuals by phone, text or email
  • Deliver prepared sales scripts to persuade potential customers to purchase a product
  • Describe products and services
  • Respond to questions
  • Obtain and record customer information
  • Obtain possible customer leads
  • Data entry and maintenance of customer/potential customer data bases
  • Follow-up on initial contacts
  • Maintain records of telephonic interactions, orders and accounts

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:
  • High School
  • Minimum 1 year Sales experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Multi-State Insurance Licenses as dictated by Company/Carrier

Computer Skills:

Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, Outlook, internet

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:

Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
