The Market Insight Center of Hanover Research collaborates with B2B and B2C companies of varying sizes and across a large number of industries. Hanover serves as an adjunct planning department, capable of conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis and meeting needs such as Market Assessment, Sizing and Exploration, Customer Satisfaction, Consumer Insights and Brand/Product Perception.

The Sales Associate is the first point of contact between Hanover and Chief Marketing Officers and is responsible for identifying and managing a large pool of prospective companies. He/She will develop and deliver high-impact messages that capture Hanover's value proposition and that will resonate with these senior-level individuals, and will collaborate with a Sales Director to provide support throughout the entire sales cycle.

Through mentorship by a proven business developer, Sales Associates are placed on a career track with significant advancement potential (90% of our senior associates and managers have been promoted from within) and have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive set of business development and marketing skills.

Sales Associate Responsibilities:
Schedule consultative sales meetings with Chief Marketing Officers of B2B and B2C companies to meet monthly targets

Assist Sales Director with background market research on organizations to identify senior-level contacts and summarize their short- and long-term strategic goals

Support Sales Director across the sales cycle, from building initial relationships to helping finalize contracts in a new partnership

A successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

Minimum 3.0 GPA or a bachelor's degree from a top-tier university

A resume that demonstrates over-achievement and leadership

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effectiveness in conveying clear, well-understood and articulated messages

Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail

Previous successful sales experience OR a strong interest in a business development role

The ability and desire to work in a challenging, fast-paced, quasi start-up environment in which you have clear and measurable performance expectations

Technical aptitude sufficient to master Hanover's CRM tool

An interest in marketing and strategy research

An interest in exposure to the issues facing myriad industries

Self-motivation with the ability to work independently

Willingness to be accountable for aggressive monthly scheduling goals

Strong motivation by performance bonuses for exceeding goals

The desire to play an integral role in the evolution of a young, rapidly growing firm

Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor's degree (business, marketing, and communications majors are preferred)

Minimum Experience:
0 - 2 years of full-time or part-time sales experience; previous leadership, professional, and/or internship experience must be quantified or resumes will not be considered.
