We are a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive in-home care, care management, home-delivered meals, transportation, and more. Everything we do is centered on making older adults feel safer and healthier while creating a more independent and secure lifestyle.

The Sales Director has the primary and ultimate responsibility to increase the services for all new clients of the Norwood Seniors Network. This includes responsibility to develop productive relationships with referral sources and occasional community presentations. Works with staff members to solidify new clients' services and programs, including assessments and contract signing.

DUTIES

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Seeking out and targeting new customers and new sales opportunities, initiating action plan to approach and secure new business and clients
  • Ability to identify and build relationships within the local area that drives business in the community
  • Coordinate Sales and Marketing operations with other employees of the organization as necessary
  • Develop, maintain and improve business relations with all customers of the organization
  • Work with other team members to secure service sales and an increased client base, including all initial contacts, visits, and contract signing appointment
  • Responsible for all contact management, maintain accurate records of all contacts, sales calls, names, phone numbers and results, etc. to create a database for future reference and follow-up
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly
  • Doing market research to determine customer needs and providing information to other staff.
  • Following up on sales leads and making cold calls on potential customers in an effective and timely manner.
  • Maintaining up-to-date understanding / awareness of industry trends, government regulations, and technical developments that effect target markets.
  • Establishing and maintaining industry contacts that leads to sales.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet the business needs of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years' experience closing sales
  • Experience selling Private Duty Home a plus.
  • Proven track record in closing sales, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as passion for seniors, is required for success in this role.
  • Experience in health-related field communicating directly with physicians is preferred, but not required.
  • Sales experience on the Northwest side of Chicago is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to spend at least 80% of time outside of office
  • Flexibility in working hours to meet client and resident's needs. Weekend and evening hours will be at times required along with an on-call schedule
  • Must be proactive, self-disciplined and able to demonstrate a high level of productivity, responsibility and accountability
  • Business to consumer sales
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Proficiency in computer skills, and the ability to learn new applications.
  • Connections with local hospitals is a plus
