Objective of Position

As a Sales Engineer supporting our North American team, you will evangelize the benefits of our company, technology, and solutions. The position will involve travel within North America to customer sites and conferences.

Responsibilities

Pre-sales support to win customers:
Act as an industry subject matter expert in the area of messaging security
Gain understanding of customer technical requirements
Pitch, position and demonstrate CM solutions
Provide presales support such as responding to RFI’s/RFP’s
Present the merits of CM solutions over competition
Advise on optimal deployment of CM solutions
Deployment support for both customers and partners

Work with Cloudmark’s Professional Services organization:
Manage trials and proof of concepts
Design and implement world-class customer solutions
Provide product and technical training

Act as technical account manager for key accounts:
Identify new opportunities within existing accounts
Feedback customer’s requirements into product management and engineering
Provide customers with updates on technical roadmap
Ensure high satisfaction with CM solutions
Requirements

Experience with Linux system and application administration
Experience presenting solutions to clients
Previous consulting experience desirable – especially implementation experience in carriers and large enterprises
Technical role in the anti-spam, security and or messaging space is a plus
Experience with data analysis using scripts or other analytical tools
Passionate about providing excellent solutions and services to customers
Excellent listening & presentation skills
Willingness to travel within North America – 25%+
Ability to self-manage time and juggle multiple priorities
Solutions, consultative selling style
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field of Linux and application software administration or technical sales
