We are currently looking for a Sales Engineer to cover a Kentucky sales territory with emphasis on Louisville and Lexington areas. The responsibilities include generating sale of batteries, chargers, and service within the sales area. Responsibilities include supporting existing clients, generating new clients, quoting, writing up orders, increasing sales revenue, and meeting or exceeding all sales and service targets established in the designated territory. A supporting service center and office are based in Louisville.
Essential Job Duties
Generating new business, maintaining existing accounts, and increasing sales and market share through the use of various channels.
Creating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with key personnel for product development and sales.
Travel in support of customer meetings, trade shows, conferences, and training.
Other activities include proposal preparation, pricing, presentations, forecasting, program management, and other duties as required.

Must possess a successful sales background.
Good computer skills.
A good driving record. Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle. Must have a valid driver's license.
A college degree and industrial experience is preferred.
Knowledge of government contracting and the battery industry are helpful but not required.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Strong negotiating skills.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
