FuzeBox is currently looking for a technical and business savvy Sales Engineer to join our growing team in San Francisco. In this role, the qualified will provide highly technical support for all FuzeBox products to potential customers and existing enterprise and global accounts. As a Sales Engineer, you will deliver technology presentations to both technical and management-level audiences, execute the technical aspects of the sales strategy by developing appropriate solutions and building technical relationships, ensuring positive product evaluation and complete end-user success. You will have an ongoing relationship with FuzeBox enterprise customers to provide a consistent point of contact for product feedback and feature enhancements.
Support FuzeBox Sales team in designing and presenting solutions to meet customer requirements.
Prepare and present technical product overview to both technical and non- technical customers and evaluators.
Coordinate requirements for pilots and deployments with Product Management and Product Development.
Develop a thorough understanding of the customers’ needs and effectively communicate the features and benefits of our products in comparison to competitors’.
Work with Sales on Request for Information and Request for Proposal inquires.
Provide occasional onsite support and product setup for pilots for key enterprise and global customers.
Maintain current knowledge of industry and emerging technology trends within the conferencing, web collaboration, video conferencing, and tele-presence space.
Provide market information to internal teams to analyze competitive positioning.
15% to 25% travel, mostly in the Northern California region, some to other regions in the US. A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
Proven understanding of NAT and firewall principles and design, with high-level understanding of software design; must be able to converse intelligently with network administrators and systems engineers.
Basic understanding of IP video and VoIP technologies and how they are employed in SIP and H.323 protocols, within various video and audio compression techniques.
Well-versed in the Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac operating systems and platforms from an operational, as well as system administrator’s perspective.
Experience working on RFI’s and RFP’s, while performing demos and technical presentations.
Proven experience in supporting and working with Sales, Product Management, and Technical Support teams within FuzeBox.
Demonstrated record of strong customer-facing skills and ability to build and sustain ongoing customer relationships; ability to practice excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work within and team or independently with a high degree of personal initiative and self-motivation.
Ability to properly track, document and communicate problems, resolutions and action items to the customer and FuzeBox’s management.
Ability to help demonstrate product and close deals with or without the aid of a sales person.
BA/BS in a technical track; Computer Science, Networking, Telecom, Engineering (or equivalent).
5+ years as a Field Engineer or Sales Engineer for collaboration software or videoconferencing applications is required.
