Job Description:
Work at the direction of the Area Director to assist the sales team in meeting PSPC sales goals and fiscal responsibilities for the current year. This will include building relationships with key customers, familiarizing the customers with Harris offerings at a technical level, influencing future specification documents, and obtain first-hand knowledge of the customer’s needs. Develop sales strategies with account managers to help the region reach its growth targets. Develop preliminary radio system solutions from a choice of Harris product lines, to satisfy customer-specified requirements while maximizing profitability and minimizing risks to Harris. Exert influence on overall objectives and be relied upon by others as a knowledgeable source of information. Assist proposal team to effectively describe the system solution being offered. Construct ROM, budgetary pricing as required. Participate in discussions and presentations with customers, consultants, vendors and other Harris personnel as necessary to advance projects.

This individual will assist the sales team to develop a sales plan and strategy to achieve the objectives of Harris RFCD PSPC. ASEs will be the lead technical presenter at Oral presentations and leverage the SSEs of record on a job to job basis as needed. It will also be the responsibility of the incumbent to stay abreast of product development roadmaps so as to ensure appropriate management of customer expectations. The position requires 50% overnight travel in region with periods of week long absences whilst preparing bid responses or attending shows and seminars

5+ years of technical experience in the Land Mobile Radio or Wireless Telecommunications fields in system design, implementation and /or Sales engineering roles
BS/BA Degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience
Ability to travel 50% throughout the sales region

MBA Preferred
