We currently have an excellent opportunity in our new mobile solutions sales team for a dynamic, solutions oriented Sales Engineer. Responsibilities include a combination of pre-sales support to the inside sales team, performing technical product demonstrations, managing proof of concept engagements, developing sales acceleration tools and customer facing content.

Qualified candidates will work with the Inside Sales Team and customers to optimize the sales cycle. The Sales Engineer must demonstrate solid communication skills, technical expertise, sales ability, and working both independently and within a team. They must also be able to communicate complicated technical material in layman's terms with a focus on business value.

This position will support the US "Mobile Solutions" Inside Sales Team. The position is based in our Corporate Headquarters located in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities Include:
Accelerating sales cycles by helping the Inside Sales team overcome technical hurdles

Performing technical product demonstrations

Managing customer product trials: Setup, Training, Support and Success Review

Leveraging relationships within organizations to solve technical hurdles and foster awareness of our products and solutions

Interfacing with various customers at both a business and a technical level, and propose viable solutions in real time during customer meetings

Developing customer facing demos and technical content to support and shorten sales engagements

Developing and delivering sales acceleration tools and training material for the Inside Sales Team

Job Skills

4+ years of IT experience in a Vendor, Professional Services, IT Consulting, Systems Integration, or end-user environment

2+ years, technical pre-sales experience, or technical business related experience successfully deploying and selling sophisticated software and IT products to mid and large corporate markets

Excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills

Ability to translate technical value into business value to varying levels within an organization, both business and technical

Professional presentation skills

Self-starter that manages time and activities with little day-to-day guidance or interaction from management

Excellent listening skills resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction. Must be able to listen for opportunities as well as potential technical hurdles

Strong understanding of mobility solutions based on Blackberry Enterprise servers and ActiveSync

Must have a good understanding of deploying IT based cloud solutions, including integrating with infrastructure components such as Active Directory, Exchange, Firewalls/Gateways, etc.

Understanding of the networking and support challenges of wireless applications

Knowledge/awareness of IT security standards such as FIPS, SOX and PCI

Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or MIS degree is required
