INTRODUCTION
The Sales Zone has been engaged to recruit for an exciting position with a Global 50 brand. This position carries the title of Sales Manager, Strategic Partners and is a B2B sales role dedicated to selling business computing and electronics through resellers, VARS, and channels. This position is home-based and can be located in either Dallas or Austin.

NOTE TO CANDIDATES: We will begin recruiting for this position after January 1, 2013. This is a Q1 hire with a start date AFTER January 16th.

OVERVIEW
The Strategic Partner Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing sales revenue from the Commercial Reseller Channel by selling to specific partners. Responsibilities include working with and through resellers in the Americas to identify, qualify, develop and close near term sales opportunities; grow new and existing business relationships, build the sales opportunity pipeline, increase sales, pursue next generation sales opportunities, ensure customer loyalty, and build outstanding customer relationships by providing an exceptional customer experience as the primary interface into the company as well as expanding and managing the reseller channel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Selling through Channel Partners in North America
Consistently exceeding team revenue targets
Identifying opportunities to increase commercial reseller revenue by executing effective business development strategies and sales processes within commercial reseller partners
Expand, replace and upgrade resellers as needed and where appropriate
Identify and develop new business opportunities within reseller accounts which contribute to the growth of the commercial customer base
Build and maintain accurate business opportunity pipeline within SalesForce.com
Manage/minimize channel conflict
Ensure resellers receive a clear, consistent, and organized message regarding current and future initiatives
Provide customer outreach and promote products and services as well as its near term and long-term strategic initiatives
Provide input to the creation of the annual sales and marketing plans
Work with marketing, system engineering and new product development teams in devising and implementing sales solutions to address current and future customer needs

REQUIRED SKILLS
Bachelors Degree
Two to five years of IT Channel Sales Experience
Experience selling notebooks, laptops, software, etc. through channel partners

COMPENSATION
This position carries a base salary range of between $70k and $95k, depending on experience. Total compensation range (base + commissions and bonuses) = $120k to $145k ++ at plan with opportunity to earn more in the follow-on years.
