The Sales Manager provides strategic direction and progressive leadership to achieve sales and profit goals within a region, specific line(s) of business or channels. He or she will design and recommend sales and marketing programs and set short- and long-term sales strategies.

Detailed Description
·
Develop and administer a sales plan that will ensure customer satisfaction, assigned quota attainment, good reference accounts, and a highly skilled and motivated staff
·
Partner with Marketing to develop and implement sales marketing programs and initiatives
·
Determine the annual sales and gross profit plan by implementing marketing strategies and analyzing trends and results
·
Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing sales quota for territories
·
Project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new product lines and customers
·
Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with market supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors
·
Coordinate order service by directing Account Representatives and executives on quotations, proposals, project order management techniques, and customer complaint resolution
·
Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition and market conditions
·
Assist in maintaining sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees
·
Maintain sales staff results by counseling and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring and appraising job results
·
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies
·
Forecast and communicate intricate details to senior business managers on a timely basis
·
Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements
·
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources
·
Knowledge of p rinciples and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
·
Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills
·
Ability to manage one's own time and the time of others
·
Excellent computer skills
·
Ability to demonstrate teamwork, leadership and flexibility
EXPERIENCE
·


Minimum of 5-7 years of professional sales experience in related industry, including a minimum of 3 years of supervising and managing staff and programs

EDUCATION
·


Bachelor's degree in Business and Engineering required
