EdgeCast is looking for a top performing Sales Manager to direct a rapidly growing Business Development team to achieve and exceed sales goals. This leader must be able to direct and inspire the work of others while giving direct daily performance coaching. The ideal candidate will have a verifiable track record of growing inside sales teams with individuals who produce $1M or more per person per year selling to mid and upper-level technology executives.

Sales Performance
  • Set and meet company sales and activity goals
  • Monitor individual and group performance by managing and implementing key metrics
  • Motivate sales group through ongoing motivation, recognition, morale, and incentive systems
  • Conduct ongoing sales coaching, training and guidance
  • Conduct call shadowing, feedback and performance improvement
  • Build group sales capabilities through ongoing training, coaching, communication, exercises, role playing and sales strategy development
  • Ensure ongoing quality standards by implementing necessary KPIs
  • Conduct sales performance analysis, problem solving and oversight
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, volume, talk time, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities utilizing Salesforce
  • Effectively manage sales trainer, reps and engineers
  • Coordinate and work conferences/trade shows as needed
Sales Management
  • Manage talent development (sales team hiring, recruiting, vacation and personal time, etc.)
  • Oversee sales lead distribution, targeting and generation initiatives
  • Conduct sales performance coaching and reviews
  • Report to Sales Management team
  • Ensure consistent targeting, focusing sales team activities
  • Oversee smooth functioning of incoming web leads, telephone inquiries, recent sales, account relationships and other lead sources
  • Manage individual and group sales pipeline development
  • Cultivate structured and persistent selling skills among sales team
  • BA/BS, MBA preferred
  • 7-10 years of proven inside sales experience with rotations as a to sales rep, coach, trainer and manager.
  • Proven expertise in selling information or technology-based products to business customers is highly desirable.
  • Industry experience selling Content Delivery, Networking/Technology solutions is preferred
  • Possess the ability to motivate high performing sales individuals
