Responsible for leadership, profitability, growth and direction of all sales activity within the assigned team. Provides leadership to a sales team of reps to achieve maximum profitability and productivity in line with company vision, values, and financial objectives.
Meets or exceeds overall sales quota monthly, quarterly and annually.
Develops and submits an annual business plan including revenue and profit goals, objectives and strategies that ensure attainment of sales goals, headcount level, and appropriate margins.
Implements sales and marketing strategies.
Prepares action plans by individual and team to ensure the right activity required to meet sales goals.
Provides weekly sales forecasts and 30-90 day sales pipeline reports to executive management.
Effectively manages a sales team of up to 8 account managers.
Accompanies sales reps on customer appointments.
Conducts weekly one-on-one reviews with sales team members to ensure effective communication, to review sales activity and funnel, to continuously develop and build sales skills of account managers, and to ensure that account managers are focused on productive activity.
Works closely with Human Resources/ESI recruiters to recruit and hire qualified account managers. Maintains a healthy pipeline of potential future candidates.
Trains and coaches sales team members through observation and documentation of performance, providing feedback and counseling.
Ensures all company and division policies and procedures are communicated and implemented.
Promotes cross selling activities.
Works through Director of Sales to help build vendor relationships to ensure long term successful partnership, strategic planning to ensure increased common market share, and consistent product knowledge transfer.
Bachelors degree in Sales, Business, Information Technology or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years successful experience managing a sales team in a technology-related industry.
Strongly prefer some direct channel sales experience with HP, Cisco, or a similar manufacturer.
Requires successful experience in multi-tasking, resolution skills, and working in a fast-paced environment.
Proven team player.
Excellent leadership and management skills.
Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Ability to apply new technologies to existing business problems.
Has a solid understanding of office technology solutions, services, and products, their targeted customers and practical applications
Valid drivers license.
Ability to travel frequently to customer and vendor locations throughout assigned market.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
