Full-Time — San Francisco, CA

We are currently seeking an events manager to manage and drive all aspects of client and industry events for Twitter’s Sales Marketing organization. The events manager will report to the Sales Marketing Lead. The ideal candidate thrives in an organizational environment that is fast-paced, innovative, collaborative and low-ego, and can operate effectively at all levels – from strategy and execution to big picture ideas --with attention to the details. Candidates should have a strong and successful track record of producing advertiser and industry events from conception through to post-event KPI analysis.


Manage and execute highly effective events for advertiser and industry audiences.

Partner with the Sales and Sales Marketing teams to develop events strategy.

Manage all aspects of events including content development, vendor management, operations, budget, logistics, creative/design elements, invitations/RSVP management, promotions of events and program development.

Create event briefs, attendee parameters, project scope, and schedules.

Manage budget and logistics to the smallest detail ensuring all are properly scoped.

Negotiate ‘best of’ rates with all vendors and event partners.

Travel for onsite event production – including some pre-event scoping.

Create goals for each event and conduct post-event analysis including reach and ROI.

Collaborate closely with the other internal groups, including Corporate/Consumer Marketing, Communications, Product and Sales, to ensure consistent and integrated event messaging.


6-8 years experience with demonstrated skills and knowledge in the following areas:

Strong event planning and management skills and adept at managing multiple events consecutively.

Depth of knowledge of the online media space and a passion for social media. Ability to develop events on par with the best industry gatherings.

Ability to multi-task and manage several complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational, planning and project management skills.

Strong oral and written communications skills.

Strong iWork and Microsoft Office skills.

Commitment to quality, accuracy, and consistency, including brand and editorial standards.

Ability to consistently meet hard deadlines while balancing the need for quick turnaround with longer-term strategic efforts.

Is flexible and can deal effectively with changes in priorities or ambiguity.

Comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment.

Is driven and solution-oriented and can overcome obstacles to drive projects through completion.

Alignment with Twitter’s vision and core values.
