Responsible for the daily support of the sales function to minimize the administrative work of producers. Responsibilities include analyzing and reporting sales data, communicating changes to sales plans, providing knowledge about customers and competitors, communicating pricing data, and managing the operational logistics of sales meetings and activities. Works closely with sales and other functional leaders to develop and maintain the operational infrastructure supporting sales recruiting, goal setting, training and onboarding, troubleshooting order processing issues and producer requests, and sales-related information systems and procedures.
Key responsibilities for this position are related to tasks supporting Specialty Benefits Representatives and include:
Travel requests and expense reporting
Keying activity and rate information
Ordering supplies including marketing material, open enrollment items, and equipment for new hires
Handling agent licensing
Key attributes are accuracy, quality, attention to detail
Needs to be able to successfully meet deadlines with multiple priorities
Prior experience with sales reps is highly preferred
Moderate work experience within own function.
Some work is completed without established procedures.
Basic tasks are completed without review by others.
Supervision/guidance is required for higher level tasks.
High School Diploma/GED
2+ years experience in a sales support or administrative role
Intermediate proficiency (or higher) with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Previous experience with database systems (i.e. Access, SQL, etc.)
Previous experience with SharePoint
Previous experience in a sales department or as part of a sales team
