Essential Responsibilities:
Manage and administer assigned account activities (export/domestic) to ensure sales, profitability and customer satisfaction. Represent Harman International as liaison for Sales and administration activities related to product availability, quotation/perform invoices, order processing, product shipment, account status and after sale follow-up. Interface with various in-house departments: Master Scheduler, Engineering, Credit, Customer Service, Shipping and Marketing to plan and initiate customer request for product. Create all documents and forward to the appropriate departments. Maintain all pertinent information on the customer master file, i.e., customer status, address, sales representative, contact information etc. In addition, update and ensure accuracy on all assigned customer pricing structures via the mainframe system. Initiate and process all annual dealer agreements and corresponding paperwork. Prepare and communicate all documents associated with export shipments. Work directly with customers, reps, banks, freight forwarders, Chamber of Commerce, and internal departments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of shipments and payment of goods. Close interaction with overseas manufacturers and warehouses. Planning and processing of all orders, stock and stock transfers to various locations around the world as well as ensuring product and process integrity. Ensure documentation and processes are in compliance with ISO and SOX guidelines. Maintain all files associated with assigned customers, and provide account sales and marketing data on request. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent years of experience in a customer service field. Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite. Maintain high-level of customer service expected by our internal and external customers. Desired Characteristics: Deal with International customers speaking a second language. Capacity to interpret and comprehend conditions for conducting business, lead times, cost control, pricing and governmental regulations. Create/manage spreadsheets using formulas, links and functions. Capable of taking initiative for tasks and following them through to completion. Ability to be flexible and manage multiple assignments at once. Manage and administer all activities involved in conducting Harman International sales order business to ensure compliance with all established criteria. Utilize SAP and accurately input sales orders. Type 45-50 words per minute. A high aptitude for solving complex and practical problems dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write clear and precise routine reports that correspond to both internal and external customers. Present information effectively and professionally in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Eligibility Requirements: Willingness to work in an office in Elkhart, Indiana. Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test.
