Position Summary:

Reporting to the Sales Director the primary objective of the role is to work with the US and local sales teams to identify organic growth opportunities, and deliver revenue growth from new initiatives. This involves looking at customer and market segmentation, providing market analysis and interpretation of the monthly sales data.

A key aspect is also the standardization of commercial activity (reporting, KPI’s and sales force effectiveness) to ensure we have the right people seeing the right customer at the right time, with the right product or service offering and the formulation of specific, deliverable action plans to accelerate results.

The role is responsible for the implementation of accurate and relevant backlog reporting, and commercial information relating to sales activity (won/lost, bid results, market share), and to support for the Lafarge Business Cycle – Strategic Frameworks, Sales Plans, Performance Plans, CBR and Budget.

Responsibilities and Accountability:
  • Sales Analyst Management
    • The sales performance manager will assume responsibility for the market sales analysts
  • Market Performance
  • Management of the PPI report and compilation of data for the monthly sales reports
  • Support to the market sales teams by the development and tracking of weekly and monthly performance metrics
  • Maintain the advanced pricing module, whilst developing and implementing performance metrics
  • Assist with the preparation of data for monthly commercial meetings
  • Support the local market area extra mile initiatives, preparing business / market studies into potential new growth areas, take an active role in all associated sales plans
  • Support the identification and development of growth opportunities within the existing market areas including: - new products/blends, increasing share of profitable customer segments, increasing prescience in sustainable construction market/applications, expansion into new markets for products/services
  • Support the US team with the development of market strategies
  • Support sales force effectiveness initiatives (CRM, segment training)

Relationships with Other Functions / Roles:
  • Supports the commercial functions across the US aggregates markets
  • Work closely with Central Marketing function
  • Works closely with peers across product lines

Education and Work Experience
  • Undergraduate degree
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience within the sales function and industry
