Sales Representative Dallas (Full Time)
JOB TITLE: Sales Representative
REPORTS TO: Regional Manager, Manager or Supervisor
PURPOSE: To successfully sell THE FAMILY SECURITY PLAN® (Life, DI or Cancer insurance) directly to credit union members and/or employees of select employer groups (SEG’s).
¨ Successfully complete PFP’s PAT Sales Training Course.
¨ Obtain a license to sell insurance.
¨ Approach members in the credit union lobby or worksite location to offer the insurance products and/or credit union services that can be purchased and/or obtained through credit union membership.
¨ Close the insurance sale and complete all appropriate paperwork related to that sale and specific to each credit union.
¨ Total sales for the day and report results to Regional Manager, Manager or Supervisor. Representatives must report total premium, total deductions, total new members and total annual savings to the credit union, if applicable.
¨ Complete and “clean up” all paperwork from sales of that day.
¨ Upon arrival at a credit union or a worksite location, report into the site’s personnel office and call into Regional Manager. Arrive 15 minutes prior to the opening of the credit union or worksite location and stay until closing or designated closing time of the worksite location.
¨ Achieve and maintain a professional working relationship with the credit union/worksite or employer group manager, staff and other personnel at all times.
¨ Maintain good working relationships with other members of PFP’s sales team.
¨ At Manager or Supervisor request, may assist in training a new Sales Representative while in a credit union lobby or at a worksite location.
¨ Complete continuing education credits as necessary.
¨ Attend weekly and monthly sales meetings as required by the Regional Manager, Manager or Supervisor.
¨ Perform other related duties when assigned.
¨ Achieve sales expectation or above every month in order to achieve PFP “Pro” status.
¨ Maintain a solid business relationship with credit union/worksite personnel.
¨ Consistently produce quality paperwork and turn in paperwork on time to Manager/Supervisor as per their schedule.
¨ Always represent PFP in a positive and professional manner.
¨ Adhere to dress code and conduct code as stated in PFP Handbook. If credit union/client dress code is more stringent than PFP’s, it takes priority and must be adhered to.
¨ Contribute to overall sales production of the region by consistently producing appropriate sales levels.
¨ In all instances, utilize good judgment in business situations; refrain from discussing anything considered company business with anyone who is not employed with PFP.
¨ Maintain and practice a high degree of sales ethics at all times.
¨ Assess needs of clients and members in order to sell good solid business.
¨ Must be computer literate, i.e. typing skills, and knowledge of the internet/email.
¨ Recommended to have internet access at home or the willingness to access the internet.
¨ Ability to travel, as necessary, to worksite locations.
¨ Ability to approach and close prospects on the sale of insurance products.
¨ Exhibit enthusiasm for the job.
¨ Ability to be outgoing and an effective/persuasive communicator.
¨ Support management decisions.
¨ Efficiently handle paperwork.
¨ Good organizational skills.
¨ Ability to work well with others.
¨ Ability to stand and approach potential members for the majority of the working day.
¨ Ability to carry the sales rate book and other supplies (weighing approximately 4 pounds) as needed, when approaching potential member.
¨ Ability to carry credit union supplies to offsite locations.
