GE Water has an immediate opening for an Account Manager. In this entry-level role, the incumbent will be responsible for acquiring sales skills, product knowledge and familiarizing themselves with GE Water & Process Technologies business. The will be assigned sales activities under supervision of experienced sales professionals. Will take on field task, which will enable them to build prospective accounts, build relationships and assist with customer service and account maintenance duties.
In addition, in this role you will:
Participate in sales calls for new accounts
Outline, present and sell the value of our products and services that can benefit our customer needs
Participate in plant visits to gather samples, observe instruments, and obtain information and analyzes / interpret results and reports any corrective actions to the customer
Conduct required training of operating personnel to ensure their understanding of the parameter under which their equipment operates
Build upon internal relationships and starts to develop strong relationships with customers
Partner with peers and management to enhance selling techniques and approaches
Effectively coordinate relationships and interfaces with Commercial Operations, Technical Marketing, Product management and other functions
Document observations at plant visits updates and contributes final reports intended for an internal audience
Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical), Biology, or Chemistry, OR Bachelor's Degree in any related discipline
Ability and willingness to travel within territory

Ability to effectively manage time and budget or expense parameters
Solid communication skills (both written and verbal)
Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the water treatment field
