John Crane, a Global Leader in the design and manufacture of mechanical seals and seal support systems, mechanical packing, power transmission couplings, engineered bearings, and high performance filtration systems, is looking to add to the sales team
As a Sales Representative for John Crane, you will be working in industry sectors such as oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper and mining. Based on the territory, you will have a good mix of existing clients to maintain and build upon as well as a number of new businesses to target and close.
You will be assigned a list of accounts of various sizes for which you will provide such things as:
- Technical support
- Guidance and advice to reduce costs and improve reliability of customers mechanical seals
- Training or co-ordination of training
- Recommendations for new applications
- Presentation of new products and solutions to customer problems
- Grow sales by providing solutions to existing customers and development of new accounts
- Act as primary contact for Customer to John Crane
The ideal candidate will possess a technical degree or diploma - ideally in mechanical engineering coupled with at least 3 years of customer service and direct sales experience with a proven track record in industrial sales.
Knowledge of rotating equipment would be considered an asset. You will have the ability to communicate at all levels, and possess strong technical knowledge and good computer skills. You will be a well-organized team player who works very well independently at establishing and maintaining client relationships.
