Identify prospective C&I customers by using Marketing campaigns & Hoovers while relying on your market knowledge, cold calling & networking skills;
resulting in the creation of a pipeline, within your prescribed territory.
Responsible for qualifying the creditworthiness of customers by referring to the Credit Policy & using the Credit Department while relying on your financial literacy & relationship management skills to obtain data from customers that will enable the analysis of credit risks resulting in a response from the Credit Department that will either advance or halt the progression of the Opportunity.
Responsible for qualifying the customer’s interest by obtaining permission to access to their load data, using GSERNA Load Analytics to evaluate the data and relying on your persuasive skills to convince the customer of GSERNA’s capabilities in order provide them with a proposal which is informed by their specific load pattern.
Assess the needs of customers by using Miller Heiman Conceptual sales training and Rediscover Energy Assessment tools while relying on your questioning, listening and persuasive skills to influence the customers’ decision about the products they want to buy and assure that our proposal will meet or exceed their requirements.
Propose electricity supply offers to qualified customers and brokers by using GSERNA Supply to price products and terms that are consistent with the aforementioned needs assessment while relying on your knowledge of cost components, GSERNA’s Product Catalogue and our Min Margin Policy, in order to assure that customers are evaluating offers on an “apples-to-apples” basis, thus increasing our odds of success in winning deals.
Negotiate transaction terms & conditions with customers and brokers using standard contracts and the expertise of our Legal team while relying on your knowledge of our min margin guidance & your negotiation skills to reach agreement.
Close transactions with customers while using Supply for booking, Business Controls for validations & Operations for enrollment while relying on your knowledge of GSERNA’s processes and policies to assure proper service to the customer & realization of the expected revenues & margins from the transaction.
Acts as a team member with all employees of GDF SUEZ Energy NA staff.
Complies with all GDF SUEZ Energy NA policies and procedures.

Four year college degree required.
2 -4 years of experience in selling retail commodity products in the C&I sectors.
Experience in competitive electricity market desired.
Must have proven product and customer knowledge to educate customers on pricing and the application of competitive advantages to meet or exceed customer needs.
Strong negotiating skills.
Excellent database, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation skills.
Must be self directed and able to learn business and new products quickly.
