Xignite is seeking an ambitious and talented Sales Representative for our Corporate Sales Team. This role is responsible for selling in a specific geographical region via phone, web and occasionally travel. You will use a consultative approach to sell various Financial Web Services to a wide variety of verticals, including many Fortune 1000 companies. Xignite is looking for a highly motivated, financially astute and experienced sales person to join our rapidly expanding company. The successful candidate will join an already highly motivated sales team and be responsible for representing the suite of Xignite Web Services to potential clients, including the top tier of financial institutions around the world. With a consultative approach, you will identify prospects needs and demonstrate how Xignite will help them leverage their new or existing project needs. This individual will be responsible for building new business only. The individual will work with and liaise with all Xignite departments to position Xignite at the enterprise level. Our services offer more than 50 financial cloud APIs and fuel more than five billion service requests per month for real-time, historical and reference data covering global equities, commodities, currencies, options, fixed income, mutual funds, derivatives and OTC instruments. Xignite products also allow our customers to leverage our technology and our infrastructure offering solutions outside of the typical market data space.

Proven ability to maximize sales into an assigned territory while working with colleagues and Sales Management when appropriate to target major accounts and large sales opportunities
Clear sense of priorities and can shift them as needed
Well organized and effective at time management
Keeps up-to-date on technology
Experience in prospecting, developing opportunities, demonstrating products, closing sales and preparing appropriate documentation
Knowledge of the financial data industry as well surrounding verticals
Ability to accurately forecast near term and long term opportunities
Capable of identifying and selling to companies that are not current customers
Understand and convey customer needs to sales management, product managers, and technical staff
3+ years of sales experience
Proven success and sales performance for closing complex opportunities
Must be well versed in vendor and industry related issues
Exceptional track record of targeting and closing deals with C level executives
Demonstrated success with strategic contractual negotiations
Clear understanding of Salesforce or other CRM
Strong aptitude for developing business models, fee structures, and licensing models is critical
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university required
MBA a plus
